Fast paced, Neurosurgical practice in Virginia, looking for an experienced Physician Assistant.  PA to assist Neurosurgeon in the management of patients and be able to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.  Applicant will work closely and assists the surgeon in providing quality, efficient and continuous and cost effective care during the patient's hospitalization. 

Job involves a full spectrum of duties in a clinical and operating room setting as well as being required to take call.   P.A. will share duties with another P.A. working in the same practice.  The practice which is located near a Level II Trauma center one hour south of Washington, DC.

Full-time day shift position working in the anesthesiology department of an established medical facility.  This position does require the candidate be "on call" periodically.

 

Under the supervision of the anesthesiologist/physician the CRNA is responsible for the specific care and safety of patients receiving anesthetics.  Be capable of demonstrating acceptable techniques in the administration of anesthetics and adjunctive drugs.  The individual must display the ability to work with physicians, anesthesia personnel, operating room personnel and other employees. 

 

Responsibilities:  anesthesia care, planning, assessment, evaluation and administering of patient specific anesthesia.
